A bubble CPAP jar, also known as a bubbler, is a part of a bubble CPAP machine that contains water and creates pressure. The jar's water level is visible through a transparent bottle.
Features of a bubble CPAP jar:
How the bubble CPAP jar works
The end of the expiratory tubing is submerged in the water of the bubble CPAP jar to create the desired pressure. The humidification chamber, which holds water, is filled from a water bag through a water feed tube. The humidifier promotes airway hydration.
Benefits of bubble CPAP
Bubble CPAP reduces the work of breathing, allowing patients to breathe more comfortably and efficiently. It also helps splint the airways of premature infants and decrease the rate of apnea.
